The invention refers to the process comprising the use of a product in order to neutralize the bad smell immediately, produced in apparatus intended for cold food preservation.
The use of the product is especially indicated when, as a result of a failure in the electricity supply, unforeseen defrosting of food in the freezer that causes its rot occurs.
STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE
There are some traditional disinfectant products, such as sodium hypochlorite and ammonia, which, although they perform their specific function of disinfecting, do not immediately eliminate the bad smell of the refrigerator without leaving it out of use for a long time.
Other products, deodorizers, such as activated carbon and sodium bicarbonate, are used to absorb odors from products contained in refrigerators but do not fulfill the function of eliminating bad odors in extreme cases.
In addition, other odor masking products are used, such as vinegar, lemon, coffee, air fresheners and perfumes that with their own fragrance reduce the intensity of bad odors.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
The present inventors have found that the application of an aqueous solution of alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, also commonly called banzalkonium chloride, in a certain concentration and over a certain period of time manages to completely eliminate the bad odors existing in the freezer.
